Remoteless is now submitted to Apple!

January 30, 2010

Today I finally submitted the remoteless iPhone client to apple for review. After several days with final polish ,and after adding twitter-current-song functionality we are now ready! The helper application still need some work, but this is mostly small bugs, and stuff like icons. Will there be a pre 1. march release? Time will tell :-) Updates will be posted here the next weeks.

Finally a decent remote app for spotify! I am crossing my fingers that it will be approved by apple.

    However, there is one more thing that would be great if your app could do;

i guess you’re familiar with Airfoil, it would be ingenious if your spotify app could control Airfoil ass well. That whay one could use an iphone/itouch as a remote not only for the “music central” (spotify) but also for the actual distribution around the house (airfoil transmitting to multiple Airport express of your choice).

      Hmmm interesting….

We have to look into this. I think we are going to post a “what to do next”-poll with androide / mac os x / etc etc etc…

[whispering]don’t tell anybody, but the app just got approved by apple for worldwide sales… we need a week or two to setup webpage etc, but basically we have passed all possible show stoppers, and the final bit is pretty easy stuff :-) great! [/whispering]

If your Spotify app can control Airfoil too – I will love you for many years!

Adding another vote for Airfoil as well :)

Care to present a “potential” release date for the first mac version?

I think there will basically be an open beta, but we have to develop it and we know it will take some time…

Hi, it all depends on Spotify! Currently that information isn’t available, we will be able to simplify import somehow, but not much…

If Spotify open more up we will add it right away, and we also want to add play-queue etc..
Cover art is also one of those which to have features!

    Hej!

Får följande felmeddelande när jag installerat helper. Blir inte bättre om jag ominstallerar heller. Ikonen ser ut som en vanlig systemikon (som den brukar se ut om sökvägen pekar på en fil som inte finns)

    C:\Program\SpotifyRemotelessHelper\SpotifyRemotelessHelper.exe
Det här programmet kunde inte starta eftersom programmets konfiguration är felaktig. Problemet kanske kan rättas till om du in stallerar om programmet.

    Varför funkar det inte??????????

Hi guys, I am running windows XP & cannot get a connection. I have deleted the programmes on both iPhone & PC & reinstalled but when I input my IP address to try to manually connect (it doesn’t automatically connect) it just shows …Connecting & just keeps searching. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Ash

If your ip is wrong, or if windows is blocking the app, connecting would continue to spin. Are you sure windows isn’t blocking the helper, or that you have some firewall preventing devices to connect from outside?

No I’m afraid I’m not aoredsson!!! :) Thanks for the advice though & I shall check the settings & persevere…….. Running mcafee & it says full access granted to the helper, windows firewall is disabled so don’t know what else could be blocking it :(

Hi guys, OK, I think it’s an ISP issue. How do I find out the correct ISP address? I have gone on websites that give me one ISP, then I went into the msconfic part of my PC & it stated a different one. I have tried both & still no joy. Can anyone help?

Are you going over the phone net? In that case you might be blocked by your phone company. You also need a static IP which is available from the net, if you don’t have this its impossible to connect to your computer from the outside.
