Polishing!
January 28, 2010
Today me and benedicte did the last round of polishing. We are almost ready with the final app, and we are on track for a submit to apple before 1. February. We will update you on our apple review process, but hopefully this will be a speedy acceptance. Currently the app don’t have a single microscopic memory leak, and almost all bugs our great beta testers have found are resolved. We hope this will give you the quality one should expect for a paid app, we don’t know what more to do! IT’s DONE! JIPPI! Now time to wrap up and send to apple… EDIT: just got two more bugs
Have to fix those first

Helping my friend post this here
Hi! i have tested remoteless beta3 for some time now and would like to make a reply.
Bugs:
Only some playlists will start to play.
All my playlists will start from startup. Fine, no problem here when its the first started playlist.
But when i want to play another playlist other from the one im playing rigth now, it dosent work.
For example, im playing “my rock hits” and then choose to play “my metal hits”
the playlist pops up in spotify on the computer but it do not start to play.
Only way to fix this is to do so on the computer. This error is with 4 of my 6 tested playlists.
Some times the connection is lost and you cant control spotify or see current song playing. Very rare but annoying.
Major Request:
“Back button in playmode”
I would be able to jump back in one click to the album the current song is played from. I see a big loss of usability when
i must click 5 times to get back to the album. My way to do that today is that i
click Browse/Search
click Search
click on the artist name in the search history
click the artist name
click artist album name
Not user friendly. A must fix.
iTunes have a nice layout for this when you have one button to change between current song and album songlist.
“Playlist song view”
I would like to see all songs in the playlist that im listening to or in any of my playlists, like in spotify.
Today i only see the current song playing.
Add this please!
iTunes have a nice layout for this with one button to change between current song and playlist.
“Album cover”
Want to see album cover of the current song playing.
Not so major request:
“Forwarding function”
Slider for timebar so i can jump back and forth in a song.
“Manage connections in remoteless”
Delete connections from “known computer connections” list.
“Fonts and size”
Would like to choose between 3 size and automatic size in displaytext for current artist and song playing
depending on the length of the text.
Some different fonts to choose in current song playing.
Kindly regards Kristian Benker
Yes, that was the two bugs I was talking about
Our remoteless helper has autoupdate, so many bugs can actually be fixed AFTER we have shipped the app to apple.
As I mentioned to Kristian;
We will ship our app with a “would if we could”-list containing all the stuff we cant do until spotify opens more up. For example; we cant do queue, we cant find your playlists, we cant do cover-art in a not-buggy way, we cant link directly from currently playing, so that you can access all albums from the currently playing artist etc… You can compensate for some of this with favorites etc, but until spotify opens more up, we cant do better. (and we are already pushing limits).
I read the mail you sent to Kristian, and i understand the problems, it´s to bad the can´t open
up more, give the spotify guys a cake or something maybe the do =)
over all i will use it when it get´s out for sure

yeah keep up the good work! /Kristian
My Search function doesn’t work, when I search for something it only records that I searched for it but doesn’t display any results.
What country code is displayed in the bottom left of the connection screen? If you have a US-phone, by default you will not get anything from your searches (but you would not get anything in spotify either so its correct.)
Simply said: Your country code must match your Spotify account (default CC is where phone is registered)
